When you get a call in carrier calling mode:
- You should get a notification immediately prior to the call, telling you more about the caller.
- Your normal mobile phone number/sound will ring.
- Answer the call and press 1 to connect.
Why is this required?
When you receive a call on carrier calling mode, calls are delivered to your real mobile phone number because your internet connection is not configured correctly/good enough to support high-quality VoIP calls.
When using carrier calling mode, your personal phone's voicemail can pick up company calls if you do not answer. To avoid this situation, you are required to press 1 when you answer a company call when in carrier calling mode. This action tells Spoke Phone that a human has answered the call and not an answering machine, so we can connect the call.
