Overview
Zoiper is a 3rd-party SIP softphone that you can use to answer and make Spoke Phone calls from your computer desktop.
Because Zoiper is not a Spoke Phone product, a lot of the Zoiper features do not work with Spoke Phone. This article describes how to work around some of these limitations.
Transferring calls from Zoiper
- Start or answer a call on Zoiper
- Open the Zoiper keypad and press the * key (star key) to enter transfer mode
- Wait until you hear a beep, and then quickly enter in the Spoke Phone extension number of the person you want to transfer the call to, and press #
- The caller will be transferred to that extension/user
- Your Zoiper will be hung up
Canceling a transfer
- Start or answer a call on Zoiper
- Open the Zoiper keypad and press the * key (star key) to enter transfer mode
- Wait until you hear a beep
- Press # to take the phone off transfer mode and continue talking to the caller
Providing a list of extension numbers to users
Because Zoiper does not support Spoke Phone's internal directory, Zoiper users will need to know the Spoke Phone extension numbers for their peers, call groups, and common areas phones.
To print this list of extensions:
- Log into the Spoke Phone account portal as an administrator
- Go to menu Other - > Extensions
- Print that page out or copy and email it to your team
Note: You can see extension numbers by opening the contact card of any
user, call group, or device listed in the Spoke Phone app.
