Why Isn't My Deskphone/Softphone ringing?

I have set up a desk phone and it is not showing as 'Available' on the app and not ringing. 

 

Answer: 

This can be down to two things: 

  • The actual set-up was done improperly. 
  • The device has not been assigned to a user.

Always check:

  • That there were no issues during the set-up phase, check that this deskphone/softphone has been assigned to a user.
  • If it hasn't been assigned to a user, do so, and then run a test call. 
  • If this doesn't work, re-do the setup and assign it to a user then test again.
