How to enable call reporting with Microsoft Excel - Company or Business Microsoft Accounts

Overview

Spoke Phone's Microsoft integration automatically populates an Excel sheet with your call data and generates a pre-built reporting dashboard.  You can easily change the date range to explore the dashboard across your selected timeframe.

This article will show you how to get started with the pre-built Microsoft Excel sheets integration.

Note: This setup guide is for business or company Microsoft accounts.

Prerequisites

You will need to install this integration with a Microsoft account that has Administrator permissions.  The report file(s) will belong in this account, and must remain in that same account.  You can share the file(s) with another account if you need access elsewhere.

 

Installing and Authorizing the Integration for company or business Microsoft Accounts

 

Follow these steps to install the call reporting integration into your Microsoft Office 365 account:

  1. Go to your Spoke Phone account portal online and login.
  2. Go to integrations > add integration.
  3. Select to add on the Microsoft Excel - Call reporting card.

  4. Select + Connect your Microsoft Office 365

  5. Follow the pop up prompts to choose or login to your Microsoft account 
    You MUST install this with an account that has Administrator permissions.

  6. Choose Ok

  7. Repeat the process with OneDrive until both are connected as below
    You MUST ensure you have connected both Office 365 and OneDrive to the same account, otherwise this integration will not work.

  8. Then click Next

  9. Select the timezone you wish your reports to be localized to and then click next
    NOTE
    : Data will begin streaming converted to this timezone, so make sure you get this right.
    You can always remove the integration and add it again if you wish to change this.

  10. Choose if you want monthly reporting files, or just one file

  11. Select Next
  12. You should now see this screen, the setup is complete, close the browser and do not click 'back'

  13. The first process will begin and preload a report with a history of calls.  Depending on the amount of call history you have this could take a while (roughly 1000 calls per minute).  Do not open the file until this is complete.

      • For monthly reporting:
        • A new xlsx file is created in the 'root' of your onedrive account called 'SpokePhoneCallReport_yyyy-mm' (where yyyy-mm is the current year and month)
        • The file will be populated with any call history you have from the beginning of the month.
        • The file will be updated hourly.
        • You will get a new file at the beginning of each month.
      • For non-monthly reporting:
        • A new xlsx file is created in the 'root' of your onedrive account called 'SpokePhoneCallReport_yyyy-mm' (where yyyy-mm is the current year and month)
        • The file will be populated with any call history you have the prior 3 months.
        • The file will be updated hourly.
