Overview
Configuring your headset on your device is an important step in ensuring that you’ll have no interruptions with your calls. Your headset must be compatible with Spoke Phone in order to provide good quality calling.
The following steps will guide you through how to set up your personal headset on a Windows or Mac computer.
How to set up your headset on Windows
Enabling microphone permissions
- Open your Settings application.
- Go to Privacy, then Microphone.
- Toggle on the Microphone for the device.
Default set your headset
- Open your Settings application.
- Go to System then Sound.
- Select your headset from the sound Output list.
- Select your headset from the sound Input list.
- Go to Advanced sound options and ensure that your Spoke Phone app device preferences are correctly selected.
- Restart the Spoke Phone app.
How to set up your headset on Mac
Enabling microphone permissions
- Search in the taskbar for Security & Privacy, then Privacy, then Microphone.
- Click on the lock in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Enter your device password.
- Select Spoke Phone so that the blue tick shows.
- Click on the lock again to make changes. Plugin your headset, then please make sure to reload your Spoke Phone application to apply the changes.
Default set your headset

Open your System Preferences and select Sound.

Select your headset from the sound Output list.

Select your headset from the sound Input list.

Restart the Spoke Phone app.
