How to set up a Yealink (T19P E2 & T31P) desk phone

 

Overview

This article will show you how to set up a Yealink (T19P E2 & T31P) desk phone device for use with Spoke Phone. It contains the following sections:

Requirements

Experience working with IP addresses and knowledge of general technical setup procedures is recommended when integrating desk phones with Spoke Phone. For this reason, we recommend getting your IT team or contractor to assist you with the setup.

Spoke Phone is unable to offer assistance or support (other than the 
information provided in help documents) in setting up and troubleshooting
desk phones.

Retrieve the SIP credentials for this device

Follow these instructions to add a new device to your Spoke Phone and retrieve the SIP authentication credentials you will need for the next steps. 

Reset the phone to factory default.

If you have a previously-used phone, a factory reset is required. If your phone is brand new out-of-the-box, you can skip this step.

Option 1: Hardware Reset

Hold down the OK button a few seconds, and then the display will appear warning "Reset to Factory", press OK again to confirm the reset.

If this method does not work, use Option 2 below.

Option 2: Factory reset via the web interface

Firstly you will need to obtain the IP address on your Yealink Desk phone by doing the following in order to login to the web interface.

  1. Press the tick icon button or 'OK' button on the phone (as shown below in red) - this will then display your phone's IP address.

Press once to display the phone's IP address.

  1. Enter the IP address into a web browser (please note the computer you use must be connected to the same network as your phone).

  2. The login page will show. Enter the default Yealink admin username and password of admin/admin. If this does not work, contact the vendor on the phone.

  3. Click on the Settings tab as shown below:

  4. Click on the Upgrade menu and here you will see a 'Reset to Factory Setting' button as shown below.

  5. Click this button to do a factory reset on your phone.

Obtain the phone's IP address

  1. Wait for the phone to reboot and connect to the network.
  2. Press the tick icon button or 'OK' button on the phone (as shown below in red) - this will then display your phone's IP address.
  3. Note down the IP address.

Log in to the Phone's Web Management Portal

  1. Open a web browser on a computer that's connected to the same network as the phone.

  2. Enter the phone's IP address from the previous section.

  3. Log in to the phone's web interface as an admin.

Note: The default admin username and password is admin / admin. If you do not know your username or password, contact the vendor of the phone.

Enter account details and SIP credentials.

  1. Click on the Account tab and select the Register menu as shown below.
  2. Update the Yealink fields highlighted in the image.

  1. Scroll down further and update these.
  2. Then scroll down, click Confirm to save.

  1. Click on the Account tab and select the Advanced menu as shown below.
  2. Set the settings to the values highlighted in the image.
  3. Scroll down, click Confirm to save.

  2. Set the settings to the values highlighted in the image.
  3. Scroll down, click Confirm to save.
