How to manage your availability in the Spoke Phone app

Overview

This article will show you how to manage your availability for calls, from the Spoke Phone app. It contains the following sections:

Automated offline hours

Once you set these up, Spoke Phone will automatically set you to offline so that you don't get any work calls after hours. For instance, you can tell Spoke Phone that you are offline between 6 pm and 8 am on weekdays, and offline all weekend.

To set up automated offline hours:

  1. Go to the Spoke Phone app on your phone.
  2. Tap on the person icon at the bottom of the app.
  3. Tap settings.
  4. Tap my availability.
  5. Set your offline hours.

Part-time work ?

Currently, Spoke Phone does not support different hours by days of the week.
It is on our roadmap. The workaround is to set yourself BUSY ALL DAY each
morning on the days you are not working.

Manual availability

Even though Spoke Phone attempts to automate when you are busy, there will be situations when you need to manually set yourself as busy so that you don't get customer calls.

Availability status definitions:

Availability status Types of calls you may receive Notifications you may receive
Offline

No call types.

No notifications.

Busy

Direct calls to you from colleagues in your internal directory.

Calls that your colleagues have answered and transferred to you.

All notifications.

Available

All call types.

All notifications.

Manually set yourself as busy:

  1. Go to the Spoke Phone app on your mobile phone.
  2. Tap the person icon at the bottom of the app.
  3. Choose how long you will be busy.

When you set yourself as busy, Spoke Phone will reset you back to being available when the time is up. If you finish early, just go back to the person icon and tap change status to available.
